News From the Old Website

2-8-06

It's More Than Fists and Phrases. It Goes Beyond Lifes Little Changes.

With great pleasure I'm announcing yet another release slated for this year. A rarities collection from the Kung Fu Monkeys compiling every track they have released on 7"s, comps, etc and there will also be a few new songs. There's no release date on this one just yet, if all goes well summer!

The quest for a new web person is over. Hopefully a new site will launch in about a month.

The podcast is up but for some reason unbegonst to me if you subscribed to the first one, the second one doesn't automatically appear so

2-1-06

I Sit In The State of A Daydream

Hopefully by the time you read this the second podcast will be up at the iTunes music available for free download, but that's all in the hands of Apple. Outside of that not too much to report on this end. We are trying to get the Japanese version of the Unlovables Record done. Oh and if you and/or anyone you know would like to redesign this site please let me know!

1-23-06

Crying, Doot, Doot, Doo

The Unlovables have been a talkative bunch this month with two interviews in wonderful zines. First up or at least the first to make it to my door is their interview in Nuthin Zine 17 (who gave a nice little reveiw of the TSG/Vents split) and quick on the heels of that is their interview in this month's Razorcake.

In the upcoming months look for a special Japanese edition of "Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak" on Radtone Records , with a couple of bonus tracks from their out of print cdep.

Punknews.org must have just received the package I sent them in 2003 because this just came in:

Best of 2005: Staff Writer, Scott "KirbyPuckett" Auth

Best Record I Did Not Hear Until 2005

Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine - Dismissed
August 5, 2003 on Whoa Oh

Although it is from 2003, I did not get it until my birthday of this year (New Years Day). If you, like myself, are having a tough time waiting for the Lawrence Arms’ new record and Cocktails & Dreams is not holding you over enough, I strongly suggest checking out CBGaV. Much like TLA this band features two singers on top of that gritty Midwestern punk sounds with intelligent lyrics and hooks galore!

Jon's, of CBGaV fame, new band the AV Club will be releasing their debut full length on Feburary 7th, it's pretty excellent and gets my nod of approval. Now when's the reunion?

1-15-06

Yo, Yo, Yo.

Two updates in a week, consider hell properly frozen. First things first head over to the iTunes music store then click on podcasts then search for Whoa Oh and enjoy the first ever Whoa Oh Records podcast. It's a new sampler covering almost all of the releases so feel free to spread the word.

In some pretty large and incharge news it seems that with all likelihood the new Unlovables album will be a Whoa Oh record. The recording will start in a few months and if all goes well it will be out this summer. From seeing the band live and hearing the new songs I'm confident that this one will blow away "Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak" and those are some big words.

We Talked Until The Sun Came Up, I Drove Home With The Radio On

Happy belated new year everybody! The new year is starting off with a firecracker pop and will hopefully go out with a bang! On recent inspection of the warehouse it has come to my attention that the International Language of Love is down to about 10 copies. So I highly recommend pouncing on one of these because once they are gone, they are gone. This will be the first Whoa Oh release to go out of print. It comes at a perfect time with it being the 10th anniversary of the Apers.

In other news there's a new review of the Unlovables "Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak" up, if you still don't have it and were clamoring for another review to push you over the top for purchase, sleep easy because the time is now.

An anonymous source has submitted these wallpapers for the PSP of the Ergs and the Unlovables. Now we need some DS skins and we'll be all set.

12-19-05

Take Two Face Down

Hey look at that an update in less than a month, it must be the holidays. There are some new reviews up of the TSG Vents split, in particular one from Go Metric. In the most recent issue (#20) Mr. Josh Rutledge of Now Wave fame contributes an article picking his 13 favorite bands of the last 10 years, and number with a bullet is our (sorta) very own Kung Fu Monkeys.

For a change of pace the message board has a pulse, a very very very faint pulse but a pulse nonetheless, so thank you to everyone cares enough to post on it primarily for my sake because.

Outside of that, I gots nothing. Happy Holidays!

11-21-05

Won't You Believe It's Just My Luck

Today is Mike Erg/Yannich/Jr/Dirt Bike Mike/Unlovable's birthday. In celebration of him turning 25 you can get every release he's played on for $25. This includes: The Ergs "Dork Rock Cork Rod," The Unlovables "Crush Boyfriend Heartbreak," The Kung Fu Monkeys "Electric Tangerine Smile," The Wedding Ep featuring Dirt Bike Annie and The Kung Fu Monkeys, and both versions of The Ergs "3 Guys, 12 Eyes."

In other news some of the Whoa Oh bands maybe on MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen, so keep your ears peeled for that as you flip through the channels. Here's a video of the Ergs at the Fest 4 taken by none other than the overly hospitable Danny Ross.

Oh and there some reviews of the TSG Vents split up as well.

10-16-05

Back To the Beginning Is Where I Always Go

I've always felt that music is a big family, in particular my experiences in music. Well the Whoa Oh Records family more recently got a little bigger, Jay from The Grand Prixx and his fiance Andrya just had their first child Tyler Jason.

In other news there's a new review up for the Kung Fu Monkeys. Oh and more stuff is up on iTunes, so feel free to pick those up. New website soon!

9-24-05

Depression's Got A Hold Of Me

I expect the Vents Teen Sensation Glasses split here on Monday, the delay was caused by a truck getting lost with the inserts. The Ergs repress is in and the Unlovables should be here any day as well.

Some brand new Whoa Oh merchandise has just come in.

The ashtrays are 2 for $5 shipped. If you have a preference of what 7" you'd like just us know. Legal disclaimer Whoa Oh Records Inc. does not endorse smoking.

There's also a new song up on the contest page by the Side Project, check out their song Pop Punk Is Law on myspace for their Whoa Oh shout out.

9-9-05

If I Could Treat You Like Shit, Then You’d Love Me Forever

Hey kiddies and kiddettes, long time no update, the reason for that is I've been waiting for the new site to go up, but massive delays have caused me to bite the bullet and update this one. Plus, in the month plus absence there’s been a lot going on!

First things first, The Vents/ Teen Sensation Glasses split CD should be here in a matter of days. Take a look at the cover art which was done by the philanthropic Matt Vo. In an effort to share our collective excitement about this all pre-orders will receive a copy of the Teen Sensation Glasses full length, so get those check books out!

The second pressing of “Dork, Rock, Cork, Rod” will be here shortly after the split CD. There have been some minor changes to booklet, really more corrections than anything else but it’s worth ebaying the collector’s first edition and picking up the second one which features proper credit given to Paul Roessler (check out his interview in the month’s Razorcake). In further minor changes to Ergs! releases the remaining copies of “3 Guys, 12 Eyes” now feature full color, it can be seen on the front page.

The Ergs! will hit road with mc chris from October through December, so go out and buy all their merchandise. But before you do that, be sure to catch the Unlovables on their tour in September.

An “Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak” repress with different tray card art work is also in the works, so hopefully that will see the light of day in October. Also In Octoberish The Unlovables will featured in Razorcake.

There will probably be big news around here by the end of the year so keep on checking for updates.

7-5-05

Breaking Bottles And Hearts At The Same Time

This will hopefully be one of the last updates of this website, if you haven't heard we are in the midst of a complete overhaul. If you haven't heard that means you aren't on our email list, to get on it send an email to whoaoh@gmail.com. In other news the art for the Vents/TSG is almost done and hopefully that bad boy will be out the door by the end of August if not sooner.

In some huge news as we speak most of the Whoa Oh releases are on a plethora of download sites like iTunes, Downloadpunk, Sony Connect, etc. The rest will hopefully be up by the time the you read this.

6-6-05

Your Sarcasm Radiates Unhappiness

I'll start this update with the word mastering as well. The mastering is finally done and the art work has commenced, so summer for sure. Check the sounds page for some mp3s from the upcoming split. There's yet another KFM review here and another cover from contest #1 here . Sorry for the time period of time between updates, there was some server issues here at the office.

5-6-05

This Coat of Arms is A Black Cloud

Mastering for the splitneeds to be redone, actually I should be doing that right now. There's a review up for the KFM 7". Also click here for a cover from our on going contest #1, it was submitted by an anonymous Canadian.

4-7-05

Come To Life, Come To Life, Come To Life Again

Mastering for the split is almost complete, now onwards to artwork. There are some newer reviews of the Ergs and the Unlovables. Look out for a teeny ad in next month's Razorcake. Keep sending in those demos so we can fill up the release schedule. There's an excellent show coming up on the 17th of April, check the shows page.

3-9-05

Nights On The Old Matress Out In the Park In the Cold

Ok, there's now officially nothing holding you back from ordering the Kung Fu Monkeys "Electric Tangerine Smile; Shindig Volume 3 in 3-D!"

Outside of that there's not too much going on around here. You did just miss The Ergs on BSR radio, it was awesome! Blame me for not posting about it earlier.

2-13-05

Nowadays Everybody Wants To Talk Like They Have Something To Say

The Kung Fu Monkeys "Electric Tangerine Smile; Shindig Volume 3 in 3-D" are in, but the art work isn't, so don't order just yet. The records look great and I think the 3-D is going to work.

Also, I've started mastering the Teen Sensation Glasses side, while Mass Giorgini is working on the Vents side.

Take a look at these:

These brings us to our newest offer! Buy any of these records in a chain store email us a picture or photocopy your receipt and we'll send you something free stuff. Why you ask? Because $15 is too much a CD, even if they are this good.

1-29-05

I'm The Son Of Rage And Love

Apparently The Ergs, Unlovables, and Darlington records we out out come out 2/1/05. This is due to our new larger distro so go out to all those chain stores and look for those three releases!

Well finally the Kung Fu Monkeys test pressing have been approved and vinyl should be here in a couple of weeks, now it's just a matter of art. In other news Dyna Mo has agreed to do the art work for the Vents Teen Sensation Glasses split and that is progessing nicely.

Here is the cover the Amp Magazine Pop Punk Comp which features songs by Darlington, The Unlovables, The Apers, Zatopeks as well as others.

1-15-05

I Born In 1968, Born To Replace Bobby Kennedy

Click here to see all the top ten lists that the Ergs and Unlovables made from the kind people of Razorcake. It has also come to my attention that Ray Lujan of Maximum Rock N Roll had the Unlovables as the record of the year and thed Ergs as #6. The new set of KFM test pressings should be here shortly as well as the Teen Sensation Glasses side of the split. So that one may be out the door much sooner than expected.

1-2-05

Dizzy In the Head and Now I Feel Blue

Happy New Year everybody! This year is starting with a lot of action, so here goes! The Ergs will also appear on MTV Made and they have an interview in this month's MRR. I put up some reviews for the Ergs and Unlovables so if you haven't read those click those links. The artwork for the Wallys/ Shy Guys Split is in, so those are good to go, they are free with purchase or $2 to cover shipping if you want just the split. Here's the cover art.

12-19-04

You're In a Locker Room

In immediate news, I've rejected the KFM test pressings, so we'll see how that effects that release date.

In MC Chris news, they have signed with DC Flag Records. So what does that mean for us? Good question, the answer is unclear. Chances at some point in time we'll be doing an alternate version of "Knowing Is Half The Hassle." Expect some tours from MC Chris, so get excited about that.

The Ergs will appear on a comp put out by Fat Wreck Chords, what's with all these big labels taking all our talent? It's a good thing, these bands deserve it and we wish them all the best.

Speaking of talent, here's what coming on deck at some point in the not too distant future. The Vents from South Carolina and The Teen Sensation Glasses will be each contribute a side for a split CD.

12-2-04

Rendezvous I French Kiss At Midnight

Where to start? The cover for the new Razorcake with the Ergs on it can be seen below, for a limited time buy a copy of "Dork Rock Cork Rod" and get a free issue of Razorcake while supplies last. The lacquers for the Kung Fu Monkeys 7" are made and test pressing should be here in two weeks. MTV Made has decided to use "Dusk Requiem" by the seminal Whoa Oh Release "Yeah, Yeah Punk Rock Big Deal" by Triple Bypass, look for it in either January or February. MC Chris news shortly, and it won't be what you think.

11-19-04

You've Been Asking Me to Make A Change

Two updates in a week, hell must be really cold. First off check out Made on MTV in the coming weeks and you'll hear "I've Cried For You" by the Unlovables. While you wait for it to air fill your time with the new issue of Razorcake which features an interview with the Ergs. Before you rush out to purchase that, click here to read a nice article on Darlington in the Dallas Observer.

The Kung Fu Monkeys 7" should go out to press on monday, then it's about a month away.

1-15-04

I Found A Fatal Flaw With The Logic Of Love

Nothing really important to report. The KFM mastering is done, as is the cd art work as well as the mastering for Wallys Shys Guys unofficial release. The guestbook has been removed due to excess spam and wasting my time. Upon rereading the last update there's a new rule, no more wine before updates.

10-26-04

One of the individual Clones

I know, I know, it's been a while. My problem has been that there really hasn't been much news around here lately. Well that's about to change. I'm in the processing of finishing up the Kung Fu Monkeys 7", so if all goes well in a few weeks it will be at the pressing plant. I don't want to give an exact date because the art isn't done.

I've also decided to "release" the first unofficial Whoa Oh Records release. Wha? Without going on a tirade, I'll leave it at I don't like cdrs which labels say are releases. That being said they have their place. I was listening to the Wallys the other day and was instantly reminded why I love that band. Anyway, at some point in the near future we'll be offering a cdr with some art work of "Double Play" The Shy Guys, Wallys Baseball Split. Or the Wallys Shy Guys split, if you prefer. Since this isn't a real release I can't very well accept money for it, so it will be free with the purchase of any CD or two 7"s. Now if you already have our complete catalog (or if you don't and you just want the split) they will be $2 inorder to cover shipping.

I also added a FAQs section, feel free to ignore that section.

Ergs interview in Razorcake next month, and in MRR in January or February.

Please be our myspace friend.

9-27-04

In The Land of Make Believe, Don't Believe In Me

We all know everyone shops at Hot Topic, and coming soon there's going to be an even better reason to shop there. The fine people at Amp Magazine are in the process of completing their 4th comp, this one will focus on pop punk and feature the likes of the Unlovables, Darlington, maybe the Ergs, Screeching Weasel, MTX, the Riverdales, The Queers, etc, etc, you know them all. This should be out in a few months, so keep your eyes peeled.

Whoa Oh Records needs friends! Please be our friend! If you are on Myspace click here and add us!

There are some new reviews for the Unlovables

9-15-04

It's Amost Time For School Again

I've done some site matience in an effort to make everyone's life easier.

9-9-04

Won't Catch Her Driving 55

Here's what's been doing around these parts lately; call into your local college radio station and request either the Ergs or the Unlovables, also look out for upcoming issues of MRR and Razorcake for some Ergs interveiws and Whoa Oh Ads. The Unlovables will also be featured on an upcoming Adult Swim TV ad. I think that's everything.

8-26-04

I Had An OK Time, We Kissed But Didn't Mate

One of the deals that I eluded to below has come to fruition. How do we top putting the two best pop punk albums of 2004? Easy, we do a hip hop record! What? This is a pop punk label! Maybe, it's a label of great music no matter what style. So without further ado I'd like to welcome MC Chris to the Whoa Oh Records Family. If you don't know MC Chris is, it is time to get out from under your rock. In his spare time MC is Hesh on Sealab 2010 and MC Pee Pants on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Details are a little vague at this point here's what he had to say

"Just say you're putting my next release "odor of the phoenix" in stores by christmas if all goes well. it will be different from the version you can buy at mcchris.com. it will have the Whoa Oh label on it and ads for the ergs' and the unlovables' new albums will be in the cd booklet to help promote the label. we're still discussing older albums and how to release them to the public as well as a tour next spring. xo mc "

On the Unlovables front keep your eyes peeled on the Real World because they have licensed all of "Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak." Also expect reviews and possibly features on the Unlovables and Ergs in the upcoming Law of Inertia.

8-19-04

Y'all Gonna Make Me Lose My Cool
Stuff that's going on here around here includes ads, check out Skratch next month, trying to make some deals for what's upcoming, etc. We've just started an email newsletter, if you are interested drop me an email, whoaoh@aol.com Check out the Ergs and Unlovables pages for some new reviews. If anyone can tell me what the kind people at Ox Fanzine had to say I'd appreciate it.

8-9-04

Don't Know Where I'm Going If I'll Have To Pay A Cost

I'm back on the hard concrete shores of New York City, so thanks to everyone who has been so patient with their orders, sending them out is my first priority and they'll go out promptly tomorrow.

In real news, the art work for the Kung Fu Monkeys 7" is now underway. I'm not about to give an immediate time table for it, but it should be out before one of the major holidays, which one I don't know, maybe Halloween, or Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

7-25-04

I Don't Want The World, I Just Want Your Half

Hey there's still some time left to enter the Ergs Interpunk contest. So hop to it! I'm off to leave this continent. This is important to you because get those orders in by this Tuesday, if not please bear with me and be patient about the delay.

7-14-04

Girl I'm Sorry But I'm Leaving, We're Both At Fault, We're Both To Blame

Let's start with the Ergs! So the Ergs are on Adult Swim or they are going to be on Adult Swim or they've been on Adult Swim, no one can give me a straight answer. In any case if you watch Adult Swim be on the lookout for the Ergs doing a song. If this wasn't enough to keep you full on the Ergs, Interpunk.com has been nice enough to run a contest for them. There will be a link on the main page after midnight tonight.

The Unlovables are about to go out on tour with the Ergs, so why oh why wouldn't you go to these shows?

I've come into a handful of copies of the following Stardumb Records releases, they are $10 a pop but email first to see if they are still available.

Darlington "Louder Than Morrissey," Darlington "Moron-A-Thon," The Apers "The Wild and Savage Apers"

Queers/Manges Split, 69 Charger "Trash Deluxe," Dirt Bike Annie/Popsters Split, Groovie Ghoulies "Monster Club"

Peawees "Dead End City," European Pop Punk Virus 2

7-7-04

Big City Miles, Streching Out Onto the Vertical Horizon

First off I'd like to thank all the bands and everyone who came out yesterday for the showcase, it truly was a blast and I hope to make it more of a regularity. If you missed it check out pictures courtesy of Rich Grech here. Now go out and check the shows page for the Ergs and Unlovables tour dates and head out to the show nearest or furthest from you. Oh and be on the lookout for an Ergs Contest at Interpunk.

The first review of The Unlovables record just came in, click here to see what Josh Rutledge of Now Wave Magazine has to say about it.

6-29-04

Hey Hey Big City, My Heart's Beating Fast

Feeling Mad Hostile, Wearing Aeropostle

Hey buy some Ergs Cds. Then check out the shows page. Then check out the Unlovables cover art.

6-9-04

You Have A Razor In You Top Drawer

The Ergs are here, in the convenient take home variety for $10, free cdr of them on WFMU. Also we have Whoa Oh pins, order any two records and get one free, who am I kidding just order one record and you'll likely get one, but I'd rather you order two.

The Unlovables album is at the plant and should be here in about 3 weeks. Check out the shows section for a Whoa Oh showcase/record release party.

6-1-04

I'm One Step Quicker Than The Last Motherfucker

The ergs record in about a week, so I'm opening up pre-orders if you are interested. I also put an Unlovables mp3 up on the sounds page.

I spoke to James and Pontiac from the Kung Fu Monkeys and it seems that Pontiac is about 75% done adding instruments and mastering the 4 songs, so hopefully that will be out the door soon too.

The fine people at KLM Ltd have finished American Punk where several Whoa Oh bands are featured, if all goes well the dvd will be ready come early fall.

I've also put up some new pictures.

5-18-04

I'm A Dick I'm A Dick And I Could Careless.

Hey Now! Sorry for the huge delay between updates. I had major Dreamweaver problems but they seems all better now. On to the news.

Bad news first. With much sadness it is my duty to inform you that The Mallrats are no more. Through turbulent times Adam and Ted kept the band together but Ted being in the Mr. T Experience and Adam in the Black Deliahs has left no time for the Mallrats, so unfortunately the stellar EP that they wrote will not see the light of day. I'll post the demos if the guys don't mind because the world needs as much Mallrats as possible.

On to the good news! By the time you read this "Dork Rock Cork Rod" will be at the pressing plant. The Unlovables are on their way home from the Sonic Iguana with a mixed and mastered album entitled "Crush, Boyfriend, Heartbreak". I've written the stories for both records but they aren't up because I didn't reinstall properly apparently.

4-27-04

Looking For The Right Someone, Looking For the Good In One, Looking For Someone to Rock, All I Need is Someone To Talk To

No real news to report except we have these svelt new shirts for $5. Right now I have quite a few smalls, a few mediums and larges, and I think 1 XL. In the not too distant future I plan to take requests on colors and sizes assuming I can get my hands on the shirts since I now have the silk screen .

4-20-04

He's a Dreamcast and I'm Atari, I'm Dork For Even Making That Analogy

How much longer can I pull everyone's chain by saying the Ergs Album is almost done? Aren't you getting sick of these fals promises? Well here's the cover to Dork Rock Cork Rod.

l

If that wasn't enough Ergs news to make you happy, that dymnaic Jersey trio will be on the Pat Duncan Show on WFMU this Thursday at 11PM! Oh and I finally got around to sorta making a page for it here.

In Unlovables news, the records has been sent of Sonic Iguana to be mixed and mastered. That's right Mass Giorgini will be laying his hands on this bad boy.

4-12-04

Photographs and Fancy Tricks , Get Your Kicks At Sixty Six

Well Whoa Oh Records has now hit the big time. The Apers "Never Apologize" was on MTV Made Marathon and Darlington's "Skate or Split" is going to be on Made, so spam that MTV message board and tell all the kids how much you love Whoa Oh.

Ergs= almost done.

HOT OFF THE PRESSES! With overwhelming, busting at the seems happiness it gives me great pleasure to announce the newest addition to the label! It happens to be one of the best bands going right now and one of my personal favorites. THE UNLOVABLES! Their debut full length will hopefully be out in time for the start of summer! I couldn't be happier !

3-25-04

We Can Take The Long Way Home Through Central Park

Ergs art in progress. More talks of new releases. This came in last week and this was found while moving. Enjoy!

3-19-04

Sinner and Saint For Defending

Hey there guys and gals! I know it's been a while but there's some huge news. We've opened up a new office in Astoria (where you should send all correspondence to). Notice the new address on the front page. It was time to move on from our cramped little office space to an entire floor! The Glen Cove address will still be used as our corporate office primarily for stockholder meetings and investor smoozing. I repeat all demos, orders, love letters should be sent to:

Whoa Oh Records

21-36 43rd Street, 3rd Floor

Astoria, NY 11105

In actual records news, Rev has come up with a few different covers that we all like and when he's back from his vacation he'll finish up the rest of the layout and a way it goes. Pontiac is waiting for some new mastering components to finish up the KFM ep.

I did an interview for Punk Forum check it out.

2-21-04

Rain Must Be True, I Read It In A New York Times Book Review

Put up a new review for the International Language of Love. Also in pretty big news it seems that one Mr. Rev Norb is going to do the layout for the Ergs record.

2-19-04

Try to Kill an Hour With A Whiskey Sour, If There's Time I Might Have Just One More

There's a new Darlington review and not much else. The Ergs are working on art and that's alls there is.

2-1-04

I'll Let You Do the Math if You Can Do It In Your Head

No news= good news? No. I'm sick and tired of no news! The only news is the Ergs record is back from West West Side and the word on the street is it sounds incredible. I'll replace the mp3 next week. The Mallrats will record after Ted Angel gets back from tour with the Mr. T Experience. The Kung Fu Monkeys final mastered versions should be here any day now.

1-20-04

They Stood By Me When She Flew

Happy belated New Year Everyone! I wish there was more news to tell but the only thing I have is some new Darlington reviews. The Ergs came back from their most successful tour and they hit West West Side this week for the mastering of DRCR.

12-30-03

I'm In Love, I'm In Trouble

Let me first apologize for the long delay in updates; the holidays have kicked my ass. Where to start, where to start?

The Ergs have just finished recording their debut full length "Dork Rod Cork Rod" and in celebration we've put up an mp3 of "First Song, Side One/A Very Pretty Song For A Very Pretty Lady Part 2" but beware if you download this mp3 you are contractually obligated to go out and see them them on their "Larry Flynt Is Right" tour. Further obligation is for you to sing along since this will undoubtedly be their opening number.

The Kung Fu Monkeys record will be mastered and additional instruments will be played on it by none other than Chris "Pontiac" Mazer, making it a complete family affair. Hopefully this will all be done by February.

The Teen Sensation Glasses are recording next week complete their second full length and what I've heard of it so far puts the first one to shame and that is no easy task. Please feel free to buy the import version of the TSG's debut album at www.songsearch.com for $41.06 and to mine and the band's knowledge no import version exists, so instead just buy it from us for $10.

While on the topic of buying, it's the end of the year and having seen some people's top ten lists for the year, the one commonality seems to be the #1 position which is all too often occupied by Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine's "Dismissed." So kindly send $10 and honestly don't miss the boat on one of the best records to come out this year, while you are at it buy the new Darlington record, the International Language of Love, Teen Sensation Glasses full length and some Ergs singles. It's time to spend that Christmas money kiddies, and while you are at it buy support some other small labels, we could all use the help since we are all in this together.

11-22-03

It's Been Almost A Year Since You Kept Me Waiting

Darlington's "All The Wrong Moves" is here and available for purchase. Read the update below for the promotions that we are running. Oh and the mp3s for the Darlington record have been updated to reflect the mastered versions so go and download those.

11-18-03

Let Me Take You For A Night Ride Baby Tonight, Let Me Take You For A Night Ride Girl

Darlington ships tomorrow I'm hoping to have it in by the end of the week or Monday next week.

The Kung Fu Monkeys return to their martial stomping grounds. That's right people and peoplettes the KFM will be releasing Shindig 3(D), tentatively titled the Electric Tangerine Smile. It seems like it will be a CDEP with 3-D art, that's the goal at least and it seems doable.

Promotions! Buy any piece of vinyl and get two other 7"s of your choice free. This is a way for you to complete your Whoa Oh Collection and for me to clean out my basement. Also any purchase CD or 7" will receive a free Wallys CD while supplies last.

If you'd like to throw in $2 for the Steinways demo please do so.

This Just Isn't Love, It's Just The Remorse of a Loss of a Feeling.

Two updates in two days you know something big has to be coming down the pipe line. Well ladies and gentlemen the negotiations between the Ergs and Whoa Oh Records (which made SALT I & II look like a used car deal) have finally concluded and with much happiness and eager anticipation it is my personal pleasure to announce that the Ergs' "Dork Rock Cork Rod" has indeed found a home and will hopefully see the light of day in early 2004.

We've also had 2 more winners in song title contest so please keep sending them in.

I'm strongly considering running a promotion when the Darlington record drops, something along the lines of buy one piece of vinyl and get 2 free and/or buy any CD that isn't Darlington and get one vinyl record free. All the records will be of your choosing.

11-09-03

I Find I'm Not Myself Today. I'm Someone Else & Far Away, & Through These Eyes I Realize That Every Place I Go, The Same.

An Update in less than a week? I am feeling ok? Yes, yes I am. Darlington update: it should be here by the end of next week or early the week after, the official release date is still scheduled for November 21st.

More ergs news, click here for a wonderful interview with everyone's favorite New Jersey band whose not Bruce Springsteen or Bon Jovi or None More Black. There's an interview with Dirt Bike Annie in the print issue so it's worth your time and $3 to pick a copy.

There's a new review for Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine "Dismissed" here by none other than Johnny Puke, who mistakenly calls it their debut, we'll forgive.

11-03-03

There Were 87 Advil In the Bottle and Now There Are 30 Left

I'm shocked and appalled at the amount of time between updates. The Darlington record is at the pressing plant and should be out by the 21st of November and at that time it will be available everywhere.

In other news we are currently in heavy negations with the Ergs as to the fate of their full length album Dork Rock Cork Rod which has been demoed but not yet recorded. It's incredibly fantastic.

10-13-03

I've Got A Nasty Habit Called Rock and Roll

The big news is that "All the Wrong Moves" is at West West Side as I type, so that should be back soon and then off to press. There are 2 songs up on the Sounds page, but keep in mind that they aren't mastered yet.

You may or may not have noticed that the frame to the left of this sentence now has a picture section. As of right now the only pictures that are up are the Apers ones that I took when they were here back in April. I have some Ergs, TSG, Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine and Dirt Bike Annie shots that I've taken but haven't scanned or I'm in the process of scanning. I'd like to get the picture page more comprehensive so if you have any shots of Whoa Oh bands please send them in.

Speaking of pictures, be like these people:

We've also had the first winner in the news song title contest.

10-2-03

Fire Cracker, Fire Cracker, Boom Boom Boom

Ok so there's some news around here for a change. First off I've started a page for the Darlington record. The art as it says is in its preliminary stages. I should have the master in my hands early next week, then it's off to West West Side to be mastered then to your grubby little paws. I'll put up an unmastered mp3 when I have it.

Love Whoa Oh Records with all your heart and soul? Want to share that love with the rest of the world? How about a t-shirt displaying that love? Here's a picture of a Whoa Oh Records shirt, I swear to you it's white. They are $5ppd, but I only have a few larges and XLs left.

I've changed one of the contests; instead of identifying all the songs and artists in this here news section, you now only need 10. Fair?

9-21-03

You're A Doll, You're A Doll, Just a Living Doll, I Wanna Spend My Life With You

No news is good new? Well then I have bad news. There are now Whoa Oh Records t-shirts for the low price of $5, I'll put a picture as soon as I take one. At this point all the mediums are gone, but I have a few larges and x-larges. I plan on making more real soon, smalls most likely. In other news both of the new projects are moving along nicely.

Dirt Bike Annie is looking for a drummer who can tour, if you know anyone let them know.

9-03-03

Turn the Lights Down Low, I'm Feeling It

Wow, I didn't realize so much time had passed between updates. The Darlington recording isn't completed but well on it's way with basic tracks and guitars done. The Mallrats have recorded demos which can be found here and from what it seems this EP is going to smoke.

8-22-03

Amanda Baby, Do You Want To Dance With Me?

The grogginess seems to have worn off and I'm now adequately rested to inform you on the news. Darlington has recorded 10 songs this past week for "All the Wrong Moves, " on top of that the preliminary art has been already started so hopefully this one will be out the door with the quickness. The Mallrats have had some studio trouble but they will be in one early October.

In news that I should have reported months ago the Proteens are back in action and have some new releases on Insubordination Records, which you should definitely check out. That's it and that's that.

8-13-02

You're Pretty Good Looking For A Girl

Hey there kiddies and kiddettes, I'm back and still groggy from tour. It was a whirlwind around the country which let see beautiful scenery, meet wonderful people and visit some exciting venues. You can read some of our exploits on the board under the thread "In Atlanta." In retrospect I wish i had titled it different but at that time I was in fact in Atlanta.

Onward to business matters, because business is all that matters. There are some new reviews for Dismissed, The International Language of Love and the Teen Sensation Glasses.

In my hand I currently hold some of the art work for Darlington's "All the Wrong Moves," which should be recorded early September.

In my travels I had the privilege of spending time with Adam from the Mallrats who informed me that they are mixing up the project a little and they plan on doing 7 originals versus the 4 originals and 2 covers that was originally planned. He also said that they are planning on doing their seven best new songs for this record and that they hope to tour cross country when the record drops.

That's the news for now and I'm happy to be back.

6-21-03

It's Almost Summer and Everything Going To Be Alright

Real quick there are reviews for the Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine and The International Language of Love CDs courtesy of Lew Houston of Vinyl A Go Go. Lew will be my bunk mate for 2 months but that hasn't influenced his journalistic integrity.

6-19-03

Back Street Lover On The Side Of The Road

Whoa Oh Records will be closing up shop sorta. I'll be hitting the road with Dirt Bike Annie for the next two months to do lights for their stage show, starting next week. I'll be carrying all our new titles with me so it will be even more convenient to shop. I've put up what the itinerary looks like as of now on the shows page but I won't be able to update the site while I'm gone so you'll have to check www.dirtbikeannie.com for all the latest details. In case that the tour isn't coming to your town feel free to still put in your order and it will go out right away thanks to Chris Grivet who will be helping out in my absence.

6-12-03

You Can't Because Baby It's On The Rocks

Ok, we are pretty flexible here at Whoa Oh Records here's the scoop straight from Christy Darlington: "we are recording on July 6 this wont be a live record. It will be a new full length all new never before heard songs NEW songs."

Also "Dismissed" is selling very according to our distro so thanks to everyone whose been purchasing it from different locations. I've been told from the distro that the International Language of Love is available at a chain store but we don't know which one.

6-2-03

They'll Need A Crane

Happy Birthday to us! Technically I'm a day late with the update but I was privy to see to Dirt Bike Annie, Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine and the Ergs in Philly on Saturday and by the time I got home there was no energy for an update. It's been 5 years (really closer to 3) of existence for Whoa Oh Records so in celebration order anything from us and at the minimum you'll receive a Triple Bypass CD which is what started this whole debacle for free.

The Mallrats have delayed their recording because of the drummer situation and they couldn't get into the studio of their choice until late August early September. They were hoping to get in there around July, no big whoop.

Darlington should be recording shortly, scheduling issues as well. Here's a tentative track list that really should go under the projects page but who has time to do all that? The title of the record will be Show Us Your Brazilian Live.

Donna A, Pogo Beach, Stonehill U, Density, Theo, Jodie Foster, Judy Jetson, Do You Wanna Dance, Gretchens Gotta Dance, Superspazz, Disneyland, Xmas, Along with Six and Baltimore if all goes well

5-27-03

Sever The Wireless Connection

A new section has been added, the contest section. We'll see what the deal is with the Shy Guys CD, as of now the only deal is stress.

5-26-03

I'm Sorry I Misplaced Your Monkey

After much debate and furniture throwing it's been decided that a Shy Guys retrospective (double cd) will become a reality. The date on completion will depend on how long the mastering gets done. Also we are planning to make it an enhanced cd jam packed with anything and everything under sun. This will have ramifications on the release of the Wallys/Shy Guys split but it's unclear what those will be. The great reviews of Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine "Dismissed" are still coming in daily. I'm also planning to run some contests because to my shock and dismay 5 years of my life have been spent on this record company, so tentatively we are planning to give away a Triple Bypass release (what started it all) with every order.

5-18-03

Well I Can Hardly Wait, Until I Get The Sun and Your Lips Both Pressing On My Skin Well I Can Hardly Wait Until I Feel That Thrill My Heart That Starts Inside Your Eyes

Wow, that was a long one, well since it's been a while since updates you deserve a long one. On the news front is there's much. On Tuesday at Uncle Joe's in Jersey City you can catch the Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine record release show, oh and the ergs are playing too, give them your sympathy. Darlington has yet to record, more to come on that when I know it. Oh and we are going to sit down and discuss the seriousness of a Shy Guys 2 disc discography.

The Mallrats need a drummer, if you live in the Sacratomato area drop them a line. Jaz from the Groovie Ghoulies fame is filling in for now.

5-7-03

She Did So Much Cocaine That Night

Again with the quickness, apparently our global dominance has commenced all thanks to one Mr. Pat Duncan spreading the gospel on his radio show on WFMU, here's the link to the play list.

5-6-03

Filler.

Quick update Darlington records in a few weeks and the Mallrats recording has been pushed back by about a month, something to do with cock-fighting fines, details as they become available.

4-27-03

I'm Rocking A BMX Bike and I Can Run Fast Than Anyone I Know

Aight, the only real news I have to report is that I put up some more TSG reviews. Also talks have begun on releasing a Shy Guys retrospective thanks to whoever guest is on the message board.

4-20-03

Do Do Do, Da Da Da Is All I Have To Say To You

I must highly recommend Ipower Web to anyone in need of a website. They make things ridiculously easy for those of us who are web stupid. Thanks to them we again have a guestbook and now a message board. The best part about the message board is that I now have a new way to waste time at work. Outside of the mild site maintenance there's no real news. If you get a chance check out All Nite Records, it's run by Sebby Zatopek and when it gets going expect to spend a ton of money.

4-18-03

Running, Run Away

Nothing terribly exciting this update, just a nice review from the good people at Now Wave for CBGaV's "Dismissed." Also I've taken the shopping cart down for now since I don't know what I'm doing and I'm not quite sure if anyone ordered anything and who got their money.

Also on the Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine front at some point in the near future expect an interview conducted by yours truly in Amp magazine.

4-13-03

This Song Sounds Just Like The Last One and The Next One and The One After That One

I'd like to take this time and remind everyone that the Charlie Brown Gets a Valentine Gets "Dismissed" CD is fantastic and on Joe Erg's top ten list for this year. I'm also here to inform you of a CBGaV/Ergs tour taking place at the end of May. Check the shows page for the details and such.

In absolutely huge news expect a completely new studio live album by Darlington (ala The Queers Suck This) to hit the streets in a few months. It's tentatively titled "Show Us Your Brazilians." This is a huge thrill for me, I remember walking through the halls of high school singing along to Girltroversy and now I have the pleasure of welcoming Darlington to the Whoa Oh family. Just goes to show you that this world is crazy.

Also it seems that the Proteens have reformed and will be hitting the road with Beatnik Termites over the summer, sounds like fun to me.

I've added a shopping cart, but I'll be damned if I know what I'm doing. It can be found here.

4-08-03

That's Entertainment, That's Entertainment

Ok bolks. I'm back from 4 days of non stop rock. You must do yourself a favor and see the Apers live, then thank me later. The Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine "Dismissed" Cd is in and ready for order, while you are at it buy more stuff. More to come when I have it.

4-02-03

I'm a Pop Punk Prom Queen

There's a lot doing since the last update almost 2 weeks ago. First off the administrata (i feel a professor) we've changed webhosting companies and I'm much happier about the situation. We have a lot more space and at lower cost. I'm going to look into a shopping cart and trivial things like that. The important thing about this is that there a lot more mp3s up. The downside is the counter reset and there's no guestbook, I hate that.

In actual label news the Charlie Brown Gets a Valentine "Dismissed" CD should be here if not the end of this week then early next week so start moving your couch cushions and shaking old people for loose change. More to report when I have it. While you are waiting check out two hot mp3s at our sounds page.

3-20-03

I Accuse My Parents

I'd to happily report that the Mallrats from Sacratomato will recording a CD ep for Whoa Oh Records, expect it sometime this summer. I'll put it on the projects page when there's more to tell, at this point expect 6 songs two of which will most likely be covers. In other less definite yet much huger news, I'm in contract negotiations with Darlington. The sticking point is how much money they want to give me to allow them to be on the label, I'm asking $300,000 and they are only offering $250,000. There will be more news on this when it breaks.

3-10-03

And We Become What We Hate

First off the Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine CD is at the pressing plant as we speak. There's a review of the International Language of Love by the Lord of Pop himself Josh Rutledge here Now Wave. I did an interview for American Punk the other day, so that's moving along nicely. R O C K

3-10-03

There's A Whole Lot of Shaking Going On

There's a whole lot of news in a matter of days. The first bit of news is that the International Language of Love is here and available for purchase. 16 Tracks by 4 great bands. There is a place called Europe and they know how to rock. I really think some of the best music for years to come will come from outside of the US boarders, so start your collection now. To motivate you to you start on your collection if you buy the new International Language of Love and any other Whoa Oh release and you'll get another Apers CD for free (maybe even their new one The Buzz Electric), this is a limited time offer and if we run out you'll only get a free smooch from me.

Ok, part two. I went to West West Side yesterday and was fortunate to meet Alan Douche, if you have a favorite album check to see who mastered it and it was probably Alan Douche. The man is incredible, and he has lent his incredible talent to Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine "Dismissed." This records absolutely smokes! I'm waiting for art work and off it goes.

Part III, after a lot of lost sleep I've decided to cancel the Punks Can Read comp. Some of the reasons include that too many bands haven't submitted either music or linear notes or both, on top of that a lot of the songs have already been released. Also this comp has always been more of Chadd's baby than my own. I'm planning to make it up to the bands but compiling what I have and sending them a cdr for their listening pleasure.

Part IV (a New Hope). The fine people at KLM Ltd have started doing a documentary on the NYC Pop Punk Scene and Whoa Oh Records will be featured. More news on this when it breaks.

2-26-03

Let's Go To Bikini Beach Party Tonight

Two updates in two days, is the sky falling? All the stories are now up. I received word that the International Language of Love should be here on Friday. I'm planning to run some Apers give aways if you order it from us, I'll have more details up when it's actually here.

2-25-03

In Your Eyes

I've decided to take everything off MP3.com thanks to their new policy of only 3 songs unless you pay them money, so we now have a sounds page. I really need to learn how to do web stuff properly. From my understanding the International Language of Love shipped on Monday, but I don't have any confirmation yet. This Friday I'm off to West West Side to master "Dismissed" by CBGaV. Also, I've added stories to each of the releases.

2-19-03

What It Is, Is A Sickness, What It Is, Is Regret

Ok blokes here's the skinny. We now take Paypal which will make your life easy so now feel free to order everything without the hassle of paper or $.37 for a stamp. In other news any day now the International Language of Love will be here, (paypal wink wink). Mastering for CBGaV next week. Sweet.

1-30-03

So Build Me Up Buttercup Don't Break My Heart

Ok this will be a quickie, the final art is up for the International Language of Love and it can be seen on the projects page. There are some slight differences from what was up there before. Also the that project has been shipped off to the pressing plant and hopefully will be here in a month. End Transmission.

1-19-03

This Will Be Laughing Week

Sorry the long delay in updates to the gaggles of dedicated fans (i.e. me and Chris who are the only two who actually check this joke of a site). In news we have preliminary art for both the International Language Love and the Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine "Dismissed." They can be found under the projects page. The International Language will be out relatively soon as soon as the art is done and I finish mastering 2 more bands. Charlie Brown will be out in the neighborhood of April because we are waiting to get into West West Side so they can master it.

1-04-03

This Year I'll Try Not to Think Too Much

Happy New Year you blokes! May this year us all health, happiness and more records. There's a fine review of the Teen Sensation Glasses provided by the fine folks of Vinyl A Go Go, it's also listed on the TSG page here. In other news I've dropped off the art for the International Language of Love to extremely talented Dyna Mo, who has had nothing short of brilliant ideas for the project. I've also received all the Apers songs for it, so as soon as I'm done mastering and the art is completed this puppy is on it's way to the plant. I'm hoping for a late February release so it will be available in time for the Apers/ Groovie Ghoulies tour that will swing through your town between March and May, so check that out because it will a wonderful thing to behold with your own eyes. I'm waiting for Charlie Brown to finish remixing and finishing up the art work and their spectacular sophomore release will follow the International Language out the door. In my pipe dreams I'm hoping to get the Wallys/Shy Guys split 7" out in time for opening day, just in time for the world to see the New York Metropolitans dominate all the record books by going 162-0.

12-20-02

Check out the review of The Teen Sensation Glasses at Now Wave, Josh Rutledge shows that he knows what he is talking about and he runs the best online zine I've sever seen.

12-06-02

Oh yeah!

I completely and utterly forgot to update the "International Language of Love" page. The news on that front is that the fourth band has been found and they are none other than the Demark's own 20 Belows. So as soon as all the tracks come in this one will be out the door.

12-05-02

Whoa Oh Records Gets A Valentine?

Now that The Teen Sensation Glasses has finally hit the streets we can focus on our upcoming releases. On deck is the International Language of Love 4 way split. That will will be in all of your grubby little paws as soon as we get the Apers tracks.

I'm also pleased to announce that Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine second full length release will grace your eardrums courtesy of everyone's favorite underground pop punk label that is run by me. This one comes off the heels of their debut "Commencement" which rules so buy it here Interpunk.

11-28-02

Big News?

Big news from the Whoa Oh Family! First we'd like to announce the Teen Sensation Glasses debut Full Length is available now. Also in huge News Chadd Derkins is no longer part of the label. He will be sorely missed for his creativity, insight and teddy graham eating. Whoa Oh Records will try to press forward and keep moving along with him in our hearts and records.

Whoa Oh Records has also hooked up with Pat Pelado's (of Pelado Records) distro called Road 2 Ruin, so start looking for Whoa Oh stuff across the nation.

This site will be updated much much much much more frequently so i beseech you to check it often. Oh, and send us money while you are at it.

3-31-02

This is old, who cares?

We've moved all of our sound files to www.mp3.com/Whoa_Oh_Records. Several songs from Whoa Oh releases should be posted there within a few days.

***

The Shy Guys have finally recorded their side of the split 7" with The Wallys. The songs still need to be mixed, and the record will hopefully be released sometime during the summer. As usual, a CDR version will also be available with some bonus nonsense, and the record's packaging will contain some special baseball-related surprises as well. Stay tuned, sports fans...

3-25-02

There has been a change of plans regarding the "International Language of Love" project. We've decided to release this as a CD instead of a 7". This means that there will be four bands instead of two, and that each band will be contributing 4 songs. So far we've got three of the four bands confirmed: The Apers (The Netherlands), The Zatopeks (UK), and Twentyearsold (Spain). We'll let you know as soon as we land a fourth band. Stay tuned.

1-17-02

The Ergs 7" is out! You can order your copy of "3 Guys, 12 Eyes" today for just 3 bucks (add an additional dollar if you also want the CDR version, which featured FOUR bonus songs)!! For more information, click HERE, or check out the Ergs' website at www.dorkrockcorkrod.com.

***

Two new songs have been added to the SOUNDS page. The first is a track from the upcoming Teen Sensation Glasses full-length, and trust me- it'll blow you away!! The second is a song by a band called Twentyearsold from Spain, who are doing a split 7" with The Apers on Whoa Oh Records. They rock!! Check it out!

12-27-01

Our pal and noted scenester Mark Enoch has put together a message board that is meant to be a meeting of the minds of our pop punk scene, specifically the people, bands and labeldudes surrounding Mutant Pop, Whoa Oh Records, Knock Knock Records, Frilly Pink and Pop Smarts. Basically, it's meant to be a non-AOL version of the long-standing Mutant Pop/JAW message board. Both Jonnie and Chadd post on the message board, and so should you! Please visit and share your thoughts with all of us here. We will also link to it from the INFO page and the front page.

***

The Ergs are having their record release show for "3 Guys, 12 Eyes" this Friday. Unfortunately, we haven't received the record yet, so the band will be selling CDR copies of the EP, along with a coupon to receive the 7" version when it finally comes in (which should be sometime next week). The show is at the Hamilton Street Cafe in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Digger and Plan A Project are also playing. For more information, check out the Ergs' new webpage at www.dorkrockcorkrod.com.

11-30-01

Whoa Oh Records is proud to announce two new projects we're working on. First, we're thrilled to be putting out the first full length from the Teen Sensation Glasses, an outstanding pop punk band from the Pittsburgh area. Anybody who's seen these guys play knows how amazing they are, and rest assured that the CD is gonna rock you just as hard as the live show. The second new record on the launching pad is yet another split 7". This one is tentatively titled "The International Language Of Love" and features The Apers (The Netherlands) and Twentyearsold (Spain). Both bands are, not surprisingly, pop punk bands and they're both killer. More on these records (and on other projects that are still too up in the air to talk about) soon.

10-19-01

I just wanted to give everybody a quick update. The new Ergs EP, "3 Guys, 12 Eyes" is spiraling quickly towards completion. It can now be revealed that The Ergs will be recording four bonus tracks for the CDR version of the EP. Also, you can see the EP's cover art here., as well as all the song titles.

***

The reviews for "The Wedding EP" have been pouring in! To read the super-positive, and quite wordy, reviews, click here. Or you can visit the websites on which the reviews originally appeared: Now Wave and Vinyl-A-Go-Go. Both are excellent websites run by true devotees of pop punk. Now Wave also features a very positive review of the "Wicked Split".

***

In addition to the upcoming projects already mentioned on this website (Ergs 7", Shy Guys/Wallys split 7", Punks Can Read? comp CD), we have been discussing quite a few more projects, all of which should be very exciting to pop punk fans everywhere. All of these are still up in the air, so they cannot be discussed publicly yet, but keep an eye on these pages. Our plans will hopefully be announced soon.

***

Whoa Oh Records historians will recall that our first venture into the world of 7" vinyl was Memories We Never Had by the late, great Triple Bypass! Now you can own this awesome piece of punk rock history for the low low price of only $2!!! In addition, their full-length CD, Yeah Yeah, Punk Rock, Big Deal is also available for the tidy sum of $5. Members of Triple Bypass! later went on to form The Shy Guys, but you already knew that. $7 gets you the full TBP package, so stuff those envelopes, boys and girls!!

9-30-01

We've put up a song from our upcoming Ergs 7", "3 Guys, 12 Eyes". The song is called "1000 Letters" and it can be found on the SOUNDS page.

8-15-01

Whoa Oh Records is proud to announce that we will be releasing a 7" by THE ERGS!!!! The EP will be entitled "3 Guys, 12 Eyes". We've heard the recording, and it's insanely great. I can't wait for all you guys to hear it! This will be next on the launching pad, right after the Wallys/Shy Guys split comes out. Shit ass cock douche!

7-22-01

The long-anticipated "Wedding EP" is finally out!! This double split 7" between Dirt Bike Annie and the Kung Fu Monkeys is sure to be THE hit record of the summer! Two of the hottest pop punk bands on the planet walk down the aisle together, each of them offering up something old (a new version of one of their older tunes), something new (a brand new song with a matrimonial theme), and something borrowed (a cover of one of the other band's songs). Whoa Oh Records puts it all on blue vinyl, and wraps it up in a beautiful sleeve designed by the wonderful Dyna Moe. Order your copy today!!

6-21-01

"The Wicked Split" is out!!! This kick-ass split 7" featuring The Proteens and The Grand Prixx is in our hands! And if you send us $3, it can be in your greasy little hands too! Available on red and black vinyl, your choice.

***

"The Wedding EP" featuring Dirt Bike Annie and the Kung Fu Monkeys will be out very very very soon.

6-03-01

I've added some new songs to the SOUNDS page: First Base by The Wallys (from their side of the "Double Play" split 7") and The Wedding Song by Dirt Bike Annie (from their side of "The Wedding EP").

5-28-01

I gave the whole website an overhaul. I think it looks much better now, and that it's much easier to navigate. I also added band pages for The Grand Prixx, The Proteens, and The Wallys.

***

Whoa Oh 702 "Wicked Split" (Grand Prixx/Proteens) and Whoa Oh 703 "The Wedding EP" (DBA/KFM) will both be released in June '01, so keep checking the webpage for info on these and other upcoming releases.
